When I began teaching craft and dollmaking in 1991, I had no idea that it was the beginning of a new adventure, and of a search for the best quality natural materials which continues today. Since its beginning in 1997, Morning Star Crafts has grown steadily, and I am delighted to be able to share the results with you through this website.
With the arrival of grandchildren, and working as a Steiner playgroup leader, I looked afresh at our environment for individuals as well as families, and began searching for art and craft materials, books, toys, first aid and skin care products made with care and integrity, and which help us lead simpler lives in touch with nature.
Along the way, I have been joined by friends and family who share with me an affinity for the natural world and a strong connection to the land we live in. Sandra and Michaela often join me at market days and school fairs, where we really enjoy meeting some of our customers in person. We continue to look for new or improved products which are beautiful, simple, natural and sustainable. I trust that with this website you will enjoy the fruits of that search.
